In 2022, we’re piloting the first annual UCS State Basketball competition specifically for Unified Champion Schools. This invite-only event will feature schools from across the state that will compete in January and February. This resource page will be updated with new information and schedules as we get closer to the tournament date.
Who can participate
Teams
- Must have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 12.
- Must be a minimum of two coaches; one coach must be a school staff representative.
- Must have three athletes and two Unified partners on the court at all times.
- Can be co-ed.
Athletes (a high school student with an intellectual disability)
minimum 4, no maximum
Unified partners (a high school student without an intellectual disability)
minimum 3, no maximum

All winners of the regional tournaments are expected to attend the state tournament.
